I have unfortunatly at I guess a bad time now <grrr> lost pretty much all my crunchers or they have gone part time as they're not at my house (though they are cheaper for me to run this way, muHAHAHHAHA

My highest producer aka my everyday computer, blew it's power supply, so I put in one out of another cruncher. Worked perfectly for a week, thought I had better get around to bolting it into the case... Well shortly after putting it together and err without even switching the copmuter on there was a nice smell of PCB fumes in the air and some pretty black smaoke coming out the PSU via rear fan which of course wasn't spinning since it was the PSU smoking. So till I can afford some new PSU's and probably a new motherboard I have a stonking 1GHz PIII-m as my main computer... of which I need to dismantly and solder the power jack (it's a laptop) back to the board again.!

Doh, slightly pissed of this week and it's only Saturday :-D

Ah well i'm sorry to hear that Fluffers :(
I try and vac out the computers at work once a year or so - The dust is ridiculous ~ Can't remember if it was last year (maybe the year before) I turned one back on and the pack went (must have disturbed the dust inside it) The fan blew flames a good foot out the back  Made I chuckle as the office girls ran for the hills...
Question for you ~
My computer Delsmell is on a dialup - Can I copy the rosetta folder to one at home to upload/get more jobs? Or is that illegal?

No that's perfectly fine :-)

The only thing that you'll notice is the computer maybe reported wrongly but that doesn't really matter, it doesn't effect the results.

I would do it this way though.
Assuming you run with 'network disabled' on dellsmells (you should)

Stop and close boinc on 'dellsmell'.
Copy to USB drive the whole DELLsmell-boinc' folder.
Travel all the way home thinking about Vurld Domination.
Put USB drive in main computer run Boincmgr.exe from there direct.
Enable Networking, and use the rety communication &/or the Update (do both for safe keeping :-)
Wait till it is all transfered and you'll probably need to then hit update to get everything to report.
Once done, disable network.
Exit boincmgr etc.
Travel back to work all refreshed after a good shower.
Put back in transfer files overwriting the boinc files.
Run :-)
Put of Vurl Domination for another day.

You may actually want to MOVE the boinc directory across each time rather than COPY, this will make sure you don't have any unneeded files left around.
