Is there ANY predictability about when more Rosetta tasks might surface?Nope. That last batch came as a huge surprise (as did the new server issues that made it last for months instead of only a few weeks). Grant Darwin NT |

Is there ANY predictability about when more Rosetta tasks might surface?Nope. I looked yesterday and there were only 350 Rosetta Beta tasks left. I look today and there are no Beta tasks left, but 1700 Rosetta tasks in progress instead, which matches what I expected. Tiny amounts are coming through, but all taken up in minutes, not even registering on the grafana stats page. Not the hundreds of thousands that might last a few days or the millions we really need. For that we can only cross our fingers and pray. ![]() ![]() |

Is there ANY predictability about when more Rosetta tasks might surface? It's the end of July, Universities are closed, people goes on vacation, maybe someone of the Rosetta team is preparing for RosettCon 2025 I think, as usual in boinc projects, that works will restart in September. |

Is there ANY predictability about when more Rosetta tasks might surface? Another biomed project from Spain I think it is has also shut down for the break. So yeah probably september. I am from Seattle originally, I know where the con is being held in general. Don't know the resort. |

Maybe you can join RosettaCon 2025 and ask David Baker about Rosetta@home problems? |

All I am seeing are Rosetta 4.20 tasks. Proud member of the O.F.A. (Old Farts Association) |

All I am seeing are Rosetta 4.20 tasks. Yep, I've got 40+ queued up at the moment. Some running, and some waiting...I'm not complaining! I'd druther look for a way to make someones life better than a spinning neutron star. Give me more. ![]() |

All I am seeing are Rosetta 4.20 tasks. I hate you both. I see dribs and drabs pass through, not a single one of which has reached me or any of my machines anywhere. The only plus is that Rosetta 4.20 tasks still default to 8hr runtimes, not 3hrs for whoever's picked them up. I've just scraped up a few WCG tasks for the 1st time in days, but not enough to keep all my threads running on just one of my PCs <sigh> ![]() ![]() |

All I am seeing are Rosetta 4.20 tasks. I don't get any rosie tasks anymore. WCG I am taking all your work. lol. I was doing MCM but now I have ARP instead. I can't run GPU grid anymore for the time being. They are working LLM for Chemistry and my 1080 is to old to run them. Wrong architecture. It used to be 7000 tasks would last forever. Now they are gone in a heartbeat. Your running spinning neutron stars and I am running that and gravitational wave searches and gamma ray searches. And at the rate a certain somone is going on destroying things in the health world, there will be no need for our research here, Because its too advanced for that person to understand. He doesn't like new. |

I've just scraped up a few WCG tasks for the 1st time in days, but not enough to keep all my threads running on just one of my PCs <sigh> I spoke a little too soon tbf. I did get more WCG tasks, including the longer-running ARP tasks, but I'm at the dregs of my last 4 tasks now. I'm not anticipating many or any, while Rosetta remains a wasteland. Every time some sneak down, I manage to miss them all. I can't run GPU grid anymore for the time being. They are working LLM for Chemistry and my 1080 is too old to run them. Wrong architecture. GpuGrid is next on my list to join. What would you say is the minimum spec & RAM now? I upgraded from a GTX750 to a GTX1650 4Gb the other year and have my eye on a 2nd hand GTX1660Ti 6Gb for a reasonable price. Is that sufficient? If not, I've also seen a new RTX3050 8Gb for just a little more. I have no idea with GPUs so any pointers apprrciated. And at the rate a certain somone is going on destroying things in the health world, there will be no need for our research here, Because its too advanced for that person to understand. He doesn't like new. I've been reading a little. I wish I hadn't... ![]() ![]() |

My system that processes Rosetta is down. https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=6327403 A new-to-me Epyc Motherboard won't power up. So more systems should get the tasks that I would have downloaded as well as the ones that will expire. Proud member of the O.F.A. (Old Farts Association) |

GPUGrid does now have some ATM tasks (I think you have to allow beta tasks as well to get them). These may run on a 1080Ti. |
