I am currently running Rosetta@home only. I am thinking about adding Seti@home to my projects, but will they be able to run simultaneously? |

I am currently running Rosetta@home only. I am thinking about adding Seti@home to my projects, but will they be able to run simultaneously? Yes, you can have multiple project running using BOINC. But the more computer time you allocate to SETI (or any other project), the less you will give to Rosetta. You could run SETI on your Intel GPU I think. That way it would contribute to seti while still leaving the CPU cores for Rosetta. |

Don't get me wrong but I would like to recommend that you don't add SETI@home. Why? Because it's a bunch of crap. So many wasted cpu cycles for total crap - sifting through random garbage data. Only crunch for rosetta or fah. |

Don't get me wrong but I would like to recommend that you don't add SETI@home. I don't think so. 1) Seti is the "father" of boinc platform. 2) Seti is not only "the ET search", but also good science (they produce a lot of scientific paper about, for example, pulsar). |
