Hello, I have more tasks on my "Tasks for user" then in the BOINC tasks tab. Even set to no new tasks, so my list of tasks still in progress should become less, but doesn't seem to do so. I know we are working here with very old server code, but this is a bit weird. Do more people see this behavior?

Greetings,
TJ.

"ghost" work units can happen if a scheduler request from the BOINC Manager is interrupted. The project server does not resend such work units to your host. They will cycle through the system normally, passing expiration and being reissued to another host.

There is still something wrong here, I got dozens and dozens of "ghost", as you call them.
There is no interruption in BOINC at my site. Fiber optics connection, up all the time, good throughput and no other project has any issue. Now my error rate has gone through the roof here.
Please update the obsolete and outdated server code.
I promised to stick with this project, but my other rigs are already crunching at Docking@home.

Since your computers are hidden I can only guess, but is it possible that your ghost problem has something to do with the issue described in this thread? If yes, resending those tasks won't help, but in general it's indeed a very useful feature.

Thanks Link, that explains.
