Is there a way to create an active profile and an idle profile? I'd like something like: while in use, cap at 25% CPU, while idle burn 100%. But I can really only define a single profile at a time, so I have it set to 100% on idle. But I have the spare CPU cycles to burn when active... would like to contribute them. |

Review the preferences in the BOINC Manager. It asks both for how much CPU to use when idle, and how much when in-use. So, you don't need two profiles if I am understanding what you wanted to achieve. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
