My computer is an 8 core system that can do a workunit in 3 hours and 6 minutes. That means I can do slightly less than 64 workunits per day (24/3 = 8 wu x 8 cores = 64). But Rosetta sends me 100 workunits for a day on average. So I eventually get so far behind that I'm working on expired workunits. I run my computer 24/7 at 100% utilization so Boinc has no down time.

My questions:

1. Do I get credit for expired workunits?
2. If not, do I need to abort all the expired workunits (as well as some that may be close to expiring)?
3. How do I tell Rosetta to not send me too many workunits?

Yes unless they are real close to being finished. As transient said as soon as it is overdue the Server automatically sends the identical unit to another pc, when that pc returns the unit you will NO LONGER be able to get any credit for it! Now IF you are quick and can return the unit VERY QUICKLY you will get credit but the window is VERY SMALL!!! Berkeley was testing software that would send the resent unit to a pc that normally returned units within 12 to 24 hours AT THE MOST!! I don't know if Rosetta implemented that or, not but it is better to be safe than sorry.
