After a fatal system crash, I reloaded Windows 7, Several Applications etc. Reloaded Boinc, and Rosetta. Prior to the crash, Rosetta would run on all 6 cores of a AMD Phenom II 6 core processor. Now, it only runs on 5 of the 6 cores. I was sure to verify my Rosetta prefrences and update, but still only running on 5 cores. All 6 cores are running, and checked the Affinity in Task mgr. Any suggestions? |

After a fatal system crash, I reloaded Windows 7, Check the defaults in the Boinc Manager under the computing preferences, processor usage tab. You will see a line that has the number 25 in it and talks about processor usage. Change that to a zero and be sure to click ok at the bottom. If this means your pc is not very responsive anymore to the other things you do adjust it upwards, from zero, until you can live with it. Remember it will ALWAYS take a few seconds for the pc to stop crunching when you click on something! I also have an AMD X6 cpu and it is using all 6 cores for me! |
