That would shure boost my RAC :¬) Though it does not matter how few watt`s it uses per gigaflop. it would boost my electricity bill as well. Though i could withstand it for a month. Or two. Or three. Err, Do i have to give it back. I dont mind doing long term test`s for you . . . . . |

It's on xbit labs too: http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/20111115163857_Intel_Shows_Off_Knights_Corner_MIC_Compute_Accelerator.html It's the sucessor to the larrabee GPU (or APU?) which was cancelled last year. Not sure if it has enough cache to be ideal for Rosetta but it would be worth finding out! The initial version will be double PCI-E, but not sure what that means? Two slots like crossfire/SLI or two slots one in front of the other in some kind of server setup? |

Just think about how much RAM this would use if you ran one Rosetta@Home instance on each core =) |
