but, I don't quite want it to be. It needs to share resources with SETI@home, but it has not been. It says it's set at Seti 66%, Rosetta 33%, but it still runs all the time -_- halp meh? |

I had to suspend it for the time being, but I would rather it run alternately with SETI =[ |

If you have your quotas set to Seti 66% Rosetta 33% then over time, that is what will happen. If you have just attatched, it takes the core a while to even things out. Let it run for a week or so without fiddling with the settings and then check it. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

Eli, this thread has a lot of detail on how it works, what to expect, and what I believe you are observing. The words andrianxw put in bold print are not to scold you. But as you suspend things and try to force BOINC to do things, it makes it more and more difficult to determine if BOINC is actually acting properly. BOINC controls what is running, not Rosetta. And BOINC does not favor any specific project... unless you tell it to (with your resource shares). Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |
