I have to admit, I don't know much about the culture in Tibet. The only thing I know is that China took over that area(I think it was during WW2). So tell me more about the people there. I'm curious. What are they like? Team FREE TIBET/TIBET LIBRE takes part in several projects. Apologies greg be, I didn't notice the stickied thread - now that you pointed it out I don't know how I did manage to miss it, I do my best to check for a recruiting thread but in this case I missed it. Sorry for offending you. |

G'day Eric If you-tube is your thing then you might start with this video although I'd recommend getting Cry of the Snow Lion from your local video store. Otherwise, the following websites are a good source of information http://www.tibet.com/ http://www.tibet.net/ http://www.savetibet.org/ http://www.tibet-info.net/www/index.php |

I worked with a young Tibetan man in a medical lab. He came from India, where there is a fairly large Tibetan community which originally came there to escape Chinese oppression. He got married in a traditional Tibetan ceremony. They party! :) Tibetan culture is alive and well. Someday Tibet will be free again. It seems that there are two powerful nations in the world today who like to stomp folks into a pre-defined mold of what they think is the right way to live. One of them is China. BTW, I don't think this thread will be viewable in China because of state censorship. |
