Schroeder was also in the Peanuts comic. Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's. But running Rosetta@home just might! https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ |

Schroeder idolized Beethoven and brought classical music to the Peanuts Comic. |

Beethoven wrote 'Moonlight Sonata'. One of Glenn Millers most famous pieces was 'Moonlight Serenade'. |

The Jedi Knights battled against the 'Dark Side'. P.S. The original DSOTM by Pink Floyd will never be beaten! |

The QE2 has often visited my home as well.. Beautiful Sydney! The pic also shows my workplace, the funny white building with sails.. |

The 'funny white building with sails' is Sydney Opera House as everyone knows. Australias most famous opera singer was soprano Joan Sutherland, but if you are able to track down any recordings of Joan Hammond I think you will be pleasantly surprised..... |

As a large number of Joan Hammond's performances were of Tosca and Madama Butterfly, a pic of Giacomo Puccini is appropriate.. (We're currently doing Turandot here, one of my favourites of Puccini..) |

If you get a chance to listen to a full version of Madama Butterfly, listen carefully for the few minutes before Butterfly's entrance in Act 1. You will hear a 'cover' version of 'The Star Spangled Banner'. Funnily enough, 'The Star Spangled Banner was also 'covered' by this gentleman :- ( Bet you never thought you would see Puccini and Hendrix sharing the honours !!! ) |

Yes! Who would have thought that Puccini and Hendrix would have so few degrees of separation!.. Another great performer to appear at Woodstock was Janis Joplin.. |
