This thread is for reporting errors relating to Version 5.06 released 4/27/06. Please proved links to any Work Unit results related to the errors. Remember dome of the Work Units being run are in preparation for the Upcoming CASP. They may be quite large so please do not be too quick to abort them. There is more information in post about the new application, and some of it's features. Moderator9 ROSETTA@home FAQ Moderator Contact |

All my v5.06 WUs are failing with exit code 2 ! See here. I am away from my computer right now, so I can't tell you anything more than that (there were no problems with the v5.06 WUs that I crunched on Ralph). UPDATE: All the ones sent before 7:46 UTC crashed immediately; this one seems to be doing ok so far. Team betterhumans.com - discuss and celebrate the future - hoelder1in.org |

All of the discussion and help being offered to Jose is useful and welcome, and I encourage you to continue. But if you don't mind I would like to move the posts and the discussion to another thread so the error reports will stand out for the project team. The posts and the discussion can be found Here. My WUs are set to run 4 hours, generally they finish in around 14,000 seconds of CPU time. However, the first two 5.06 WUs I've had have finished in 3,400 and 7,800 seconds CPU respectively. Is this a bug? |

Help has arrived. Version 5.06 has been released, This should put an end to the hangs and long run times that have been a problem to many of you reporting. Please do not abort your current 5.01 Work Units if they are runing well. The science from them is still important to the project. If a Work Unit has run longer than 4 times your preferences "Time" setting, then it should be aborted. Many of you have asked if credit will be awarded for these failed Work units, and the answer is YES. The credit is awarded on Fridays for failed Work Units. For errors resulting from Rosetta Version 5.01, continue to report here. For errors relating to Rosetta Version 5.06 report here in this thread For information on the new Version and what it is supposed to do see this post. For a message from Dr. Baker about the work unit runs in preparation for CASP see his journal entry here. Moderator9 ROSETTA@home FAQ Moderator Contact |

So I guess what this means is that if any wu runs overs my projected time I will manually abort it so i don't lose credit when I put in the time. |

https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/result.php?resultid=18541190 I went the one hour way as suggested and still after a series of successes this error cropped up. Yes it is one of those 107 type errors. I will soon be running 5.07 units lets see what happens then. abort bei gui This was premature. The t216 protein is very large and needs more than one hour to complete one decoy. App 5.06 or 5.07 should abort it if it got stuck. |

Another 5.06 computation error of the "107 type" https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/result.php?resultid=18542279 Jose: Just looking at the size of your queue for one machine, you are likely to see a lot more of these before you start seeing the results of the 5.07 application. Are you on a modem? Is there some particular reason you are running the large queues? The reason I ask is that in the few instances that 5.07 has run on your system it seems to have fixed the issues. Just as a suggestion (assuming you have DSL or something other than dial up) you might want to run smaller queues for a while just to see how things are going. Then if everything seems to be working, you could ramp up. Just my 2 cents Moderator9 ROSETTA@home FAQ Moderator Contact |

Probably did and forgot to save the change(Insert blushing emotie ). I will correct that pronto. MY ISP is going to be running maintenance today. I just wanted my computer to have units to work with just in case I get disconnected for a large amount of time ( Given my ISP record , that is a possibility) This and no other is the root from which a Tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector.†Plato |

Hello, I am running rosetta on a system I have in the window of my store. It's a dual-core 4200+ AMD with 2 gigs of DDR RAM and it keeps erroring out. I am running the same software (latest version) on my own desktop in my store and never have gotten one error. Black screens, freeze ups, etc.. last one did give me a "report to Billy Gates" message. It goes as follows: Unrecoverable error for result t306_CASP7_ABRELAX_SAVE_ALL_OUT_homo020_646_657_0(-exit code-1073741811(0xc000000d) No clue what this means, but this software is the only thing on this systems gives errors. System: amd 4200+ dual-core 300GB maxtor hd (ide) 2GB 400mhz ddr asus a8n5x motherboard (with nvidia chipset) x800 video card with 256mb onboard ram 650watt power supply wintv tv tuner card windows xp profesional SP2 Any clue to what is happening? |

Hey Paul :D I notice that you posted the problem in the thread <Report Errors for Rosetta Version 5.06> Was that an oversight or is the computer in question actually running that version? The latest is v5.16, so it would be an easy mistake. If by some fluke that computer is actually running v5.06, the first thing I would suggest would be to update. Rosie, Rosie, she's our gal, If she can't do it, no one shall! |
