Rosetta@Home Rosetta@Home is a scientific research project that uses Internet-connected computers to predict and design protein structures, and protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions. Our goal is to develop methods that accurately predict and design protein structures and complexes, an endeavor that may ultimately help researchers develop cures for human diseases (See the Human Protein Folding Project, a collaborative effort to apply our software on the human genome). Our project relies on individuals, like you, who donate time on their computers to collectively provide the computing power necessary to further develop, test, and improve our methods. Folding@Home The Folding@Home project models the way protiens fold. It is similar and complementary to Predictor@Home. Folding@Home simulates the entire process, Predictor@Home predicts the final configuration. |

You might also want to review question 1 of the FAQs page. Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's. But running Rosetta@home just might! https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ |

On a NON scientific note I will offer my opinion that Rosetta is a project that repeatedly offers its participants information about its progress and informs people of the progress it makes. It's a good project in my view. "I love the smell of Rosetta in the morning...." :-) Founder of BOINC GROUP - Objectivists - Philosophically minded rational data crunchers. |
